NAB Velocity Credit Card Offer

Earn 55,555 Krisflyer Points With NAB and Velocity

This is one for any Aussies out there! Until 2nd October 2016 you can earn a whopping 75,000 velocity points (which convert to (if my calculations are correct) 55,555 Krisflyer points under the 1.35:1 transfer ratio between Singapore Airlines and the VA Velocity programme), just by signing up to the NAB Velocity Rewards Premium Card, and spending $1,500 on everyday purchases in 90 days, which is very achievable. You must apply for the NAB Velocity Credit Card by 2nd October, and the offer is only available online.

If you don’t have a velocity account already, I recommend you sign up for one for free before making the application, and make sure to include your Velocity frequent flyer number in the application. The NAB card comes with a $150 annual fee, but for the huge amount of points you’ll get I say it’s worth it, after all you only need 65,000 points for an award upgrade from economy to business class on a Singapore Airlines Australia – Europe flight. This card is a brilliant way to top up your account if you’re planning to use your miles soon!

As it’s a duo card, you can earn 1.5 points on the American Express card per $1 spent on eligible purchases, and 0.5 points on the Visa card per $1 spent on eligible purchases. The only downside is that points are capped at $20,000 spend per statement period, which is kinda sucky.

The other benefits of the card include a 24/7 platinum concierge service, and seven complimentary insurances when you reach the criteria. Does anyone know what these are? I haven’t got the card so not entirely sure.

This is a great offer and one that needs to be snapped up quickly! NAB also have a 250,000 Velocity points home loan offer, which isn’t available in conjunction with the credit card. It’s interesting to see how Velocity are launching so many points offers with various banks to compete with the market-leading Qantas frequent flyer programme in the Australian market.

Have you signed up for this offer? Please let me know if you have and if you think it’s worth it!
